Pet portraits are also a way of commemorating a pet that is no longer with us.
I find that pastel and pencil work really well, because of the fur, but am also happy to paint in watercolour, acrylic, or oil. I particularly love depicting the relationship between parents and their children, and this can be particularly powerful in the animal kingdom.
